On September 2, Cao Jiachang, President of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles, and his team visited MU Group for exchange. Tang Yixi, CEO of MU Group, warmly received the guests. Wu Daqing, Deputy General Manager of the Operations Business Group, and relevant colleagues from the Business Development Center attended the meeting.
Tang Tang introduced the Group’s development history, operation model and market layout. As one of Zhejiang’s largest foreign trade enterprises for self-operated exports, Kaiyue’s annual export of textile and apparel products has surpassed USD 100 million. The Group books over 200 booths for each Canton Fair, and runs a 3,000-square-meter permanent exhibition hall at the Westin Hotel near the Canton Fair Complex. It captures clients via integrated online and offline channels by utilizing the interval time of Canton Fair sessions.
President Cao spoke highly of Kaiyue’s export achievements, forward-looking judgment on industry trends and brand development strategy. He mentioned that the textile and garment sector is challenged by overseas supply chain relocation. The industry’s exports fluctuated drastically in H1 this year. After slow growth, exports stabilized in May and rebounded sharply from June, rising 7.2% YoY in June and maintaining 7.6% YoY growth in July. This recovery amid tough external environment was hard-earned.
He stated that the Canton Fair has transformed from an "economic barometer" focusing merely on export orders into a "connector". It supports China’s high-standard opening-up and stabilizes global supply chains through four-party coordination and high-level organization. The Chamber conducts assessment for brand booths, a fair and scientific system to push enterprises to shift from price competition to brand and quality upgrading.
Yang Yunmin (Deputy Director of the Information Department of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles), Zhang Yangsong (Director of Foreign Trade Promotion Section, Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Commerce) and Mao Shuangfei (Deputy General Manager of Ningbo Foreign Economic and Trade Center) accompanied the visit.
